This all started when Pat Forde, an ESPN.com columnist, wrote a "bucket list" of things he'd like to do associated with college basketball. #3 on that list was be the Stanford Tree for a game. http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/columns/story?columnist=forde_pat&id=3207618&sportCat=ncb
Well, the band invited him and last week at the Washington game he got to be a tree for the first half. (And it was funny, the people sitting around me were like, what's up with the tree, why is he dancing like that??? Now we know why)
